Being the first team in the world to ever win three back-to-back world gold medals, we head into this new season striving for even more. More motivated than ever to make history again, we require many implications and ressources. To achieve our huge goals, we definitely need help. During the pandemic, our sport was put on hold for an extended period in Canada. With social distancing measures in place, it was impossible for us to practice normally for over a year. We had to get creative, developing unconventional training strategies to stay in shape. Meanwhile, our biggest competitors in Europe were able to continue training and competing as usual. When we returned to competition a year later, we faced numerous challenges: frequent injuries, mandatory lockdowns, and the abrupt stop of our regular training routine. That competitive season was far from normal; we participated in only two competitions. The first was the Canadian Championships, where we won gold. Then, we headed straight to the World Championships in Hamilton. With no particular expectations, our goal was simply to enjoy the experience and have fun. To our amazement, we were crowned World Champions and broke two world records, in front of a home crowd, marking a historic first for Les Suprêmes.
