Merle Long

I’m Merle Long, a professional slalom kayaker and kayak cross specialist, competing on the world stage. In 2024, I boast a top 2 finish in a Prague ICF Ranking Race in Kayak Cross and made the finals in Slalom Kayaking at the 2024 Junior World Championships. I train full-time in Australia, preparing for upcoming team selections in January and working toward my long-term goal of competing at the Olympic Games.

Kayak Cross is a new and exciting sport, having its olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Olympic games where my training partner (Noamie Fox) won the gold. This sport is rapidly growing in popularity, and offers unique opportunities for brands to get involved at the ground level. As one of the top athletes in this emerging discipline, I can help elevate your brand as it gains traction in the competitive kayaking world.
