Ludovico Cuignon

I am Ludovico Cuignon, athlete of CUS Torino. Born in Ivrea, class of 2002.

Canoe slalom athlete in the city of Ivrea (TO). City in the Canavese area which has a very high level canoe slalom canal. The Ivrea Canoa Club is the federal center for Olympic preparation and is the only channel in Italy that has hosted international level competitions.

I started this sport relatively late (16 years old) but in a short time I managed to close the gap with my teammates and opponents. I grew up and competed for the Ivrea Canoa Club until the year 2023.

Since 2024 I have enrolled at CUS Torino thanks to winning a scholarship.

I'm investing a lot of time in this sport because it's what I like to do, it's my passion. Since I entered the world of canoe slalom in 2017, I have been intoxicated by the spectacular nature and energy that this sport gives me.

I like canoeing and training because you have the opportunity to do it outdoors, I like the element of water and the fact that you have to exploit it and not fight it. I spent years watching the best canoes and taking inspiration from them. There is always something more to learn or perfect.

 Despite some obstacles I managed to get back up and continue to improve. I think I still have a lot of margin ahead of me and for this reason I roll up my sleeves and continue to work hard towards my goals. I am looking for a company that will support me in this journey of personal growth.

I have been chasing the dream of wearing the blue shirt to represent Italy for some time.

My goal is to win and this encourages me to always do better. I am a very competitive person.

Canoe slalom is a fairly expensive sport and for this reason I wanted to undertake this journey to find sponsors. During my free time I train kids who want to start practicing this sport, but these little jobs aren't enough to cover all the expenses.
